Dress Code

A dress code in a dance class is crucial for safety, professionalism, focus, aesthetic presentation, and respecting tradition. It ensures proper attire for safe movement, fosters discipline, minimizes distractions, enhances visual harmony in performances, and preserves cultural heritage, creating an environment where dancers can thrive and express themselves freely.

Baby Ballet & Rhythm and Motion 

Any color leotard and flesh tone tights. Flesh Tone ballet shoes. Skirts and tutus are permitted.

Foundations 1 & 2

Any color leotard and flesh tone tights, flesh tone ballet shoes, and black tap shoes.  Please put your child’s name in each of their tap and ballet shoes. Skirts and tutus are permitted.

Ballet

Any color leotard and flesh tone tights. Flesh tone canvas ballet shoes. Skirts permitted. Hair must be secured in a bun. (unless impossible).

Tap

Any color leotard and flesh tone tights. Black lace-up tap shoes. Dance shorts or leggings are permitted.

Boys Dress Code

Ballet - Any color t-shirt, black shorts or sweatpants, black ballet shoes.

Tap - Any color t-shirt, black shorts or sweatpants, black lace up tap shoes.

Jazz - Any color t-shirt, black shorts or sweatpants, black jazz shoes.

Acro - Any color t-shirt, black shorts or sweatpants, bare feet.

Lyrical- Any athletic type clothing, bare feet.

Lyrical ​

Any appropriate dance attire with flesh tone tights and lyrical shoes 

Acro

Any color leotard or tank top with footless tights and dance shorts or running shorts or leggings. Hair securely pulled back away from the face. Barefoot, no shoes or socks

Jazz & Musical Theatre

Any color leotard or tank top with flesh tone tights. Flesh tone canvas jazz boots. Dance shorts, leggings and Jazz pants are permitted.

Hip Hop

Loose comfortable clothing. No jeans, leotards, or street clothes.  Tennis shoes/sneakers.
